You may also reserve your room by calling 866.293.1842. If phoning, be sure to say you are attending the AAERT Conference, and give Group Booking Code AAE to ensure our group rate: $149 (double occupancy), plus 16.75% tax.

Also note that the three days pre- and post-Conference may be booked at the same rate, subject to availability. The cutoff for our reserved room block is Sunday, June 1, 2008. Reservations made after then may still be accepted, but availability and / or rate cannot be guaranteed.

About transportation:

The El Tropicano is just over 9 miles from San Antonio International Airport, about a 20-minute drive. The airport shuttle system charges $18.00 each way, although a reduced-rate round-trip ticket can be purchased upon arrival. Taxi fare is approximately $22.00 each way. Detailed driving directions can be obtained at the hotel's Transportation Page.

About the hotel:

Nice news: Free WIFI service exists in all public areas of the hotel.

A restaurant, café, and adult lounge are just off the lobby, and a rooftop pool is above the main lobby area.

The business center is available for e-mailing, copying, faxing, or printing materials.

A full-service gym / fitness center is open 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. — 18 or older. And a self-service laundry is also on site.
