computer-based laser systems used in the medical, scientific,
entertainment, and forensic arenas. He began to study and
implement the computer as a tool in the court-reporting industry in
2001. He noticed a need for fundamental training on computer
maintenance as well as internet security and safety, as more and more
reporters were upgrading to computer-based CAT programs and using the
internet to send transcripts as well as do research.
