9:30am - 10:30am Session #1: Speaker-Leah Sadowski: Implementation and Management of a Successful Social Media Campaign -- Please join Social Marketing Expert Leah Sadowski of LMS Agency Inc. in discovering how to implement and manage a successful social media campaign.  Learn the top social myths not to buy into; Learn what social sites to use in business; Learn the steps to take to create your own social media campaign; Social media best practices; Step-by-step 'how-to's'; Real life examples.

11:00am – 12:00pm Session #2: Speaker-Deaneé Moran: Dealing with Difficult Content -- When people work in a field where they are continually exposed to traumatic stories and visuals, it is inevitable that Vicarious Trauma or Compassion Fatigue will come into play at some point in their career.  This presentation will provide an overview of Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue, and Secondary Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Tools for self-assessment and recourses will be provided.

12:45pm - 2:15pm Annual Meeting. Elections and Strategic Planning Task Force Update.

Saturday, June 23

Come and enjoy a complimentary breakfast with your colleagues, while having stimulating conversations on various pre-determined industry related topics.  Presently, we have "Promote Yourself as a Reporter or Transcriber to a Court or Reporting / Transcription Company" with SueLynn Morgan; "Use of Social Media" with Leah Sadowski; "What do You Want out of AAERT?" with Margaret Morgan, CERT; "Values of Certification" with Tina Schaeffer, CERT and Chair of AAERT's Certification Committee; "Navigating AAERT's Website" with Michael Tannen, CSEP and AAERT's Executive Director; "Independent Contractor Pay Rates and Methods" with Beverly Guenette, CET*D. 

9:30am - 10:30am Session #5: Speaker-Beverly Guenette, CET*D: Working with Words -- Beverly's presentation will consist of 25 prepared English questions that you will receive in your registration packet.  Please answer these questions on your own time before the grammar session.  At the presentation, you'll go over the first 10 questions as a group, and then Beverly will discuss punctuating imperfect speech.  This will be interactive and discussion is encouraged.  This is not your mother's English class.  Come and have fun discussing WORKING WITH WORDS!

10:45am -12:00pm Session #6: Speaker-SueLynn Morgan: A Lesson in Perspective -- Hear how a career stenographic court reporter, and a leader in the profession, engaged in learning about digital recording so that a career roadmap for the future could be developed.  Learn what caused a turning point in 2008, and how a successful transition from steno to digital was accomplished.  In addition, SueLynn will present an overview of the courts and technology today, the political landscape, and outlook for the future.

12:00pm – 1:00pm Session #7: Speaker-Tina Schaeffer, CERT: Open Forum on Best Practices in Electronic Reporting & Transcribing -- Please join Tina for an open exchange of ideas and information surrounding best practices in Electronic Reporting and Transcribing.  This is your opportunity to interact with other conference attendees, ask the questions you've wanted to ask but had no idea who to ask, share what is being done in your jurisdiction, and find out if what's being done really meets AAERT's best practice standards.  Tina will answer questions, facilitate the discussion, and provide useful information.
