Executive Corner - April 2016
by: Michael Tannen, CSEP

The Heat is On, and the location is Phoenix, Arizona for the AAERT 2016 Annual Conference. What should you expect besides the heat? EDUCATION, NETWORKING, FUN, and some SMOOTH JAZZ. This year we have moved our Executive Forum to the beginning of the conference. Corporate and Vendor members are welcome to register and participate in this forum that will start on Wednesday evening with a small reception, working our way up to a full day of sessions on Thursday.

For those arriving for our Annual Conference portion, the main Conference sessions will start on Thursday afternoon with registration, exhibitors, and our AAERT Welcome Reception at the “Cool Blues Bar.” You will be entertained by the band “Red’s Blues.” AAERT member Beth Reid-Grigsby from California is part of the band.

Friday morning we start two full days of education worth 1.175 CEUs for those that participate in all of the educational sessions. For those participating in our Executive Forum, there will be additional CEU credits. On Saturday, we have scheduled two different sessions that many of our attendees have requested. Margie Wakeman Wells will present an instructive and humorous session on Grammar/Punctuation, and Cherri Brown will teach us how to effectively use Dragon Naturally Speaking. Be sure to check out all of our sessions throughout the conference by going to our website and clicking on the Conference link.

Don’t worry. We have allowed some networking time in between sessions and some time for fun after your busy days. Phoenix is waiting for you!
