  • CONNECTICUT STATE JUDICIAL BRANCH
    New London, Connecticut, Judicial District
        — temporary court recording monitor position

    The Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking qualified individuals for the Superior Court to record verbal testimony during courtroom proceedings using electronic equipment.  Successful candidates will:

    •  set up and test equipment;
    •  monitor recordings using earphones;
    •  maintain proper notes of proceedings;
    •  prepare transcripts;
    •  maintain records and files;
    •  and perform other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:  two years of clerical experience (college training may be substituted for up to one year of general experience) and the ability to produce typewritten material at a rate of 50 wpm.  Salary: $14.25/hour.  Potential eligibility for health benefits.  Résumés only.  No phone calls.  Send résumé to:
